The Grosvenor family archive dates back to the 12th century and is held at the Eaton Estate office.

The collection documents the history of the Grosvenor Family as well as that of the Eaton Estate and other rural estates and businesses owned by trusts of the Grosvenor Estate on behalf of the Grosvenor Family.

The documents include rentals, surveys, servants’ wages books and title deeds.

The archives collection is held primarily for the benefit of the Grosvenor Family, internal departments and the Trustees of the Grosvenor Estate. However, the archivist will also answer enquiries from the public where possible.

Please email the Archivist and Record Manager at for further information.
