The village includes 53 dwellings surrounded on all sides by land included within various tenanted holdings. There is a village hall and a County Primary School as well as three sets of old Victorian farm buildings now converted and occupied for office use by businesses specialising in architectural design, structural engineering and the administration of a chain of public houses.
Saighton Grange (part of which is Grade 1 listed) is home to the independent secondary school known as Abbeygate College and includes a small and charming private chapel which still hosts occasional public services.
The church of St Mary’s at Bruera is the principal place of worship for those in the local parish.
