There are 3 booklets that can be purchased from Eaton Estate Office; one about the Gardens, one about the carriage collection and one about the railway.

This year HRH The Prince of Wales visited the Eaton Estate village of Aldford. He laid the corner stone of a new Affordable Housing initiative and met the local people. In the evening there was a ball for the Prince's Trust. For the full story please click here.

Long Room

The Long Room

Viola Duchess, the present Duke's mother, was keen for as many people as possible to see the Long Room and therefore one of its main uses was as a venue for charity fundraising events. This tradition continues under the present Duke and Duchess, and in 1992 the Long Room was refurbished whilst retaining the same atmosphere of a large country house drawing room.

Much used for charity and other fundraising events, the Long Room can hold up to 150 people and benefits from a number of other changes made in recent years. For example, the room where the horses used to be washed down has been made into a servery and kitchen, and what was the saddle room is now a large dining room with a long refectory table.
