There are 3 booklets that can be purchased from Eaton Estate Office; one about the Gardens, one about the carriage collection and one about the railway.

This year HRH The Prince of Wales visited the Eaton Estate village of Aldford. He laid the corner stone of a new Affordable Housing initiative and met the local people. In the evening there was a ball for the Prince's Trust. For the full story please click here.

Gerald, the 4th Duke of Westminster, was the current Duke's Uncle. He was only Duke for 4 years.

He was a soldier and was awarded the DSO (Distinguished Service Order) for his efforts in the 2nd World War. He in fact died as a result of his war wounds which were caused by shrapnel.

It was while fighting in Cairo, in fact, that he met his wife Sally who was working for the Red Cross. They were married in 1945 and lived on the Eaton Estate at Saighton Grange.
